Turkcell General Manager Dr. Ali Taha Koç talked about the developments in the technology and telecommunication sectors and Turkcell’s innovations in these fields at the SDN Summit.
Transformation of telecommunications in Turkey!
Koç shared his professional life, which he started in America after his education, and the experiences he gained at Intel. Koç, who was appointed as the Head of the Presidential Digital Transformation Office in 2018, played an important role in projects such as the e-Government portal. He stated that he has been leading the company’s digital transformation process since October, when he took over as general manager of Turkcell.
Koç stated that Turkcell has adopted a more efficient structure by increasing service diversity in the telecommunications sector and that global technology giants have accelerated this transformation. He emphasized that technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence and quantum computing will lead to major transformations in the future. Also touching on cyber security and data management issues, Koç said that Turkcell continues its leadership in this field with its data centers and renewable energy investments.
Explaining that Turkcell, which has been offering innovations in the Turkish telecommunications sector for more than 30 years, has also developed projects in the fields of education, culture, art and sports along with technology, Koç emphasized that technology is not only functional but also a tool that provides social benefit. He completed his speech with motivational messages for young people, encouraging them to dream, learn and develop.
