Turkey’s Automobile Initiative Group (Togg) continues its domestic automobile studies at full speed. In Togg, which plans to start mass production in the last quarter of this year, new developments continue to occur after the robots started to work. The long-awaited domestic car has now come to an end. The paint shop installation was also completed at the Togg Gemlik Facility, where the first production was completed. After completing the final checks before the color trials, the teams performed unpainted rehearsals on the first C-SUV body.

In the next stage, the first paint trial will be carried out in the paint shop at the Gemlik Facility. The new paint shop also stands out with its environmentalist structure. The dyeing department is the cleanest in Europe with its emission values. The dyehouse stands out with its emission of “volatile organic compounds” of less than 5 gr/m2, one-ninth of the legal limit in Turkey and one-seventh of the legal limit in Europe.
Togg aims to be ready for mass production in the last quarter of 2022. At the end of the first quarter of 2023, the SUV, which will be in the C segment, will be presented to the market after the completion of homologation tests in Togg. Then, Sedan and Hatchback models from the C segment will be included in the production line.
In the coming years, a B-segment SUV and a C-segment MPV will be included in the Togg’s model range. These 5 models, which will share the same design language, will rise on the same platform. Togg plans to produce 1 million vehicles by 2030.
