New Smart TVs powered by Tizen will be available according to Samsung’s Tizen TV Platform Licensing program announced in 2021. The licensing program enables other TV brands to take advantage of Tizen OS, which provides a modern user interface alongside content and applications.

Users of Tizen and other television brands also meet with the voice assistant platform Bixy. With Bixby, commands such as searching and watching can be given, and many new features that improve the TV experience can be used.

200 million people from 197 countries are using Tizen OS

Launched in 2012, Tizen OS has seen significant growth over the past decade. To date, approximately 200 million people from 197 countries have experienced Tizen OS supported Samsung Smart TV models. With the addition of Tizen-supported smart TVs from different brands, this figure is expected to increase even more.
