THY’s new advertising face is Margot Robbie

Turkish Airlines took a big step by announcing that it plans to start flights to Australia in March 2024. Making a strategic move to improve the travel experience and optimize operational costs, THY is preparing to cooperate with the famous Australian actress Margot Robbie for these special flights.

Actress Margot Robbie, who plays Barbie and Harley Quinn, will be the advertising face of THY

One of the key elements of Turkish Airlines’ cost-saving strategy is the use of domestically produced seats in its new brand, Ajet. THY Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Dr. Ahmet Bolat talked about the innovative design of these seats, which are 5 kilos lighter than standard aircraft seats.

Bolat explained that the reduction in weight means a significant fuel saving and means 1 ton 150 kilos less payload per aircraft. Over the 12-year life of an aircraft, these savings reach $1 million per aircraft.

Rockstar Games released a promotional trailer for GTA 6 recently. This trailer broke a record on YouTube.

Going back to the subject of Margot Robbie, Bolat said in his statement that flights to Australia will start between March 15-24, and about a week before that, the actress is planned to be taken to many culturally rich places such as Göbeklitepe. The flight to Australia will be connecting, reaching Singapore in 10 hours and Australia in 8 hours.

In addition, THY is preparing to introduce its new Business Class seats that offer passengers a private room experience. These suite seats, which are planned to be released in April, will have soft and comfortable designs and the sales price will be 80,000 dollars. The production phase is expected to begin after a two-year testing period and the seats will be installed on the airline’s new aircraft.

In addition to these developments, THY Chairman of the Board also announced positive news for employees and expressed the company’s intention to share its success with its workforce. Breaking records in European aviation history, THY plans to distribute approximately 10% of the profits to its employees and emphasizes that this is a form of sharing success rather than a charity.
