Berlin Distraction at work: For many, this is the colleague who wants to have a chat or the courier who rings the doorbell in the home office. It is usually not because of the environment when we cannot focus – but because of our own way of working.

At least that’s how Harvard University computer technologist Rohan Murty sees it. He has done research on the subject and says: One of the biggest concentration killers at work is the constant switching back and forth between different applications, chats and tabs. According to him, we click back and forth between different tools 1,200 times a day on average.
