New regulation for used car prices
A new one is added to the regulations regarding the automobile industry. The Minister of Commerce announced another important decision after the 6 months and 6 thousand kilometers rule for new cars was extended until January 1, 2024. Accordingly, the prices of second-hand vehicles sold on the internet will not exceed the price of new vehicles.
Answering the questions of journalists in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Ömer Bolat stated that the prices of second-hand vehicles sold on the internet cannot exceed the price of new vehicles. Bolat stated that they were in talks with second-hand automobile sites on this issue and that the effect of this decision will show itself in the near future.
New decision for 6 months and 6 thousand kilometers rule in the car!
A new decision was taken for the rule that prevents companies and galleries from selling vehicles that they bought new within 6 months and 6 thousand kilometers.
Expressing that the prices will be balanced in July and August, Ömer Bolat believes that the crisis in second-hand vehicles will come to an end. As it is known, in the last few years, the prices of second-hand vehicles have risen to exorbitant levels with the increasing supply problems. Unfortunately, the 6 thousand kilometers and 6 months rule made in this regard could not prevent prices from being overtaken.
In order to prevent companies from buying new cars and then selling them at higher prices, the 6+6 law came into effect in September of last year. It has been decided to extend the regulation, which is about to expire as of today.
