The name of the new Togg model may have been revealed!

After long work, Turkey’s Automobile Initiative Group (Togg) finally took our first model, the C-SUV, off the production line. After the C-SUV model, the C-Sedan model is expected to show itself in 2025. However, the sedan model may come with a very different name than what has been stated for a long time.

Togg C-Sedan’s name may change

Since Togg first started showing its models, it has been making a name for itself by combining segment and body shape. However, we see that numbers are used instead of this nomenclature in Togg’s latest registration applications.

Based on these registration files, our domestic sedan model may appear not as the Togg C-Sedan, but as the ‘Togg 2’. Thus, the naming policy that Togg has followed since the first introduction will also change. While this is the case, the Togg C-SUV, which has not yet been offered for sale, can also be called ‘Togg 1’.

Such enumerations have been used many times, especially recently. Mazda is one of the brands that use this naming policy. The Japanese manufacturer has long preferred Mazda 2, Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 names for its models. On the other hand, Polestar, which acts independently of Volvo, also calls its models Polestar 1 and Polestar 2. It is also possible to extend this list with many newly released brands.
