Berlin The chancellor is almost in vacation mode. At the traditional court festival of the SPD parliamentary group on Wednesday evening, Scholz thanks his party for unity and serenity, drinking white wine with parliamentary group leader Rolf Mützenich through the rows of around 2,100 guests and taking a few selfies.
But at 9.48 p.m. the party mood is over. News agencies send out reports that the Federal Constitutional Court has granted an urgent application by the CDU member of the Bundestag Thomas Heilmann against the heating law. After the traffic light set all the levers in motion to get the law through the Bundestag before the summer recess, it is now being stopped by Karlsruhe.
