Now the 92-year-old, who operates on the capital market with his US investment company Berkshire Hathaway, has struck again – and the surprise is great. According to Berkshire Hathaway’s quarterly filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday night, Buffett is making a rare foray into the technology sector with a billion-dollar investment.
The investor bought shares in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC), the world’s largest contract chip maker, for more than $4.1 billion, Berkshire said.
