If elections were held today, the following projection values would result for the parties: the CDU would currently have 32 percent (plus two compared to the previous week), the SPD would have 29 percent (plus 1), the FDP would have six percent (minus 1 ), the AfD to seven percent (unchanged), the Greens to 17 percent (minus 1) and the left to three percent (unchanged). The other parties would be together at six percent (minus 1), including no party that would reach at least three percent. This would give a majority for a coalition of the CDU and the Greens, and it could just about be enough for a red-green government.
When asked who one would rather have as head of government in North Rhine-Westphalia, Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU) is 40 percent ahead of his challenger Thomas Kutschaty from the SPD with 35 percent (don’t know/unknown: 19 percent; neither: six percent ).
