Frankfurt The leasing subsidiary of the German savings banks has been struggling with the consequences of a serious hacker attack for almost a week. Deutsche Leasing shut down its IT systems after the attack was discovered last Saturday. Access is still disabled. This means that customers, especially medium-sized companies, cannot access the systems. Accordingly, the company from Bad Homburg can neither process old contracts nor agree on new leasing contracts.

Since the weekend, the leasing company has been working together with external IT security consultants and the investigative authorities “under high pressure” to analyze the attack and secure traces, Deutsche Leasing said. “So far there has been no finding that data has leaked,” said a company spokeswoman on Friday. No ransom demand has yet been received.
