Nick Carter (42) is currently on tour with the Backstreet Boys and is even on stage on Sunday evening – despite the death of his younger brother Aaron Carter (34) just a day earlier.

The fans in the sold-out O2 Arena went out of their way to show their full support for Nick Carter.

The atmosphere in the sold-out arena is “crazy”. “You get the feeling that everyone is doing their best to support Nick by cheering him on,” the fan continued. The fans felt so deeply for the singer that they were overcome with emotion themselves. “A lot of people cry and hug, there’s a real sense of unity.”
Things got really sad when the Backstreet Boys commemorated Aaron Carter. “We have heavy hearts tonight because we lost one of our family members yesterday,” said Kevin Richardson. “We just wanted to find a moment on our show to honor Nick’s little brother, Aaron Carter, who passed away yesterday at the age of 34. He was a part of our family and we thank you for all the love and all the well wishes and all the support.” Nick Carter couldn’t hold back his tears as he said this. His bandmates hugged him and comforted him.
Only very few had expected that the 42-year-old would be on stage on Sunday evening. The fact that the Backstreet Boys had not canceled their concert so shortly after Aaron Carter’s death also caused astonishment.
Nick Carter first commented on Aaron’s death just before the show began.
