Dusseldorf The Hamburg-based computer game manufacturer Innogames is the first German industry representative to publish the internal salary bands for its employees. “If I want to build up a growing industry and get specialists interested in my company, the subject of salary shouldn’t be a secret,” says Andreas Lieb, Director of Human Resources at the second-largest employer in the industry in Germany, explaining the step in an interview with the Handelsblatt.

It is a novelty for the small German game industry, which is characterized by attempts to grow. According to an analysis by the job platform Indeed, the number of job advertisements in which the word game or gaming appears in the title has almost doubled in the past three years. Professions such as accountants, HR managers or managing directors are not included here.
