Frankfurt The continuing fear of a recession due to drastic interest rate hikes by the US Federal Reserve continues to weigh on the US stock exchanges. The Dow Jones index of standard values ​​and the broader S&P 500 each fell more than one percent to 29,219 and 3650 points at the start of the week. The technology-heavy Nasdaq was also down half a percentage point at 10,800 points. Last week, the Fed’s latest signal that high interest rates could last into 2023 sent the three major US stock indexes down 4% to 5%.
