The Dow Jones index of standard values ​​closed 1.1 percent lower on Monday at 29,260 points. The tech-heavy Nasdaq fell 0.6 percent to 10,802 points. The broad S&P 500 lost one percent to 3655 points. Last week, the Fed’s latest signal that high interest rates could last into 2023 sent the three major US stock indexes down 4% to 5%.
