According to my tips today, anyone looking for special grand resorts in Germany has two travel destinations that could not be more different within the country: the Weissenhaus on the picturesque Baltic Sea coast and Schloss Elmau in the middle of the mountain landscape between the Zugspitze and the Karwendel Mountains.
But even if the two top addresses could hardly show any major regional differences, they combine the highest level of luxury and comfort. They are considered two of the best resorts in Europe. In any case, my impressions of both destinations have one thing in common: boundless satisfaction.
The class of the two houses is also reflected in the ranking of the 101 best hotels in Germany: In the overall ranking, Schloss Elmau came in second, the Weissenhaus in ninth place.
