The grand finals of the PUBG MOBILE World Cup, one of the world’s largest esports organizations, took place at Istanbul Ülker Sports and Event Hall between 8-10 December. The champion of the tournament, in which 16 teams competed, was the team from Mongolia, IHC Esports.

16 teams from 10 different countries competed for the championship
Firstly, the PMGC League Stage was held between 2-26 November, where 48 teams took place. 6 matches were played every day in the league stage, where special invited teams that were successful in PMPL (PUBG MOBILE Pro League) and PMSL (PUBG MOBILE Super League) competed. In the league stage, teams from Turkey, including Melise Esports, Bra Espor and Next Rüya, 3 different esports teams also took part.
Although Bra Espor and Next Rüya could not show sufficient success to participate in the finals, Melise Esports, who completed the group stage in 9th place, qualified to compete in the holding phase. The team that performed below its rivals was eliminated and lost the right to participate in the Grand Finals.
Thus, the only Turkish team competing in the World Cup held in our country was the previous year’s world champion, who was invited to the event. S2G Esports happened. Last year, the team won nearly 10 million TL as the champion of PMGC 2022, held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.

IHC Esports became the champion!
The Grand Finals, which provided participants with an exciting esports feast for three days, witnessed especially competitive matches between IHC Esports, Stalwart Esports and Alpha7 Esports. As a result of the matches, they collected 142 points. IHC Esports became the winner of the PUBG MOBILE World Championship and qualified to become champion.
The Turkish representative S2G Esports, the last World Champion, finished the tournament in 11th place by collecting 98 points.
World of Wonder and PDP design awards also found their winners
The award ceremony of the World of Wonder and Ptopia Design Project (PDP), which PUBG MOBILE implemented as a global design competition for players, was also held at the Grand Finals in Istanbul.
Within the scope of the project, which provides players with the opportunity to use their designs in the game by nurturing their creativity, PDP More than 500 thousand designsMore than 1 million maps were created with World of Wonder.

Strong support is needed to organize such a large event. There are not many countries in the world that meet these three conditions. Up to this stage, we have organized the PUBG MOBILE World Cup in Dubai, Singapore and Indonesia. We are currently making this version in Istanbul. We are very happy with this decision” he said.
Concerts and art activities also took place
PMGC 2023, followed with excitement by e-sports enthusiasts, witnessed various events as well as PUBG MOBILE competitions. On the opening day of the organization, where various concerts were held for three days Punishment took the stage. Various art activities were also organized at PMGC 2023.
