Baykar continues to make a name for himself with the UAV and SİHA systems it produces. Today, it has been revealed that Portugal, one of the founders of NATO and an EU member, has started negotiations for Bayraktar TB2.
Portugal wants to buy Bayraktar TB2!
In September of last year, it was revealed that Italy wanted Bayraktar TB2, with which Turkey established a partnership in the field of aviation and carried out projects together. TB2 was even included in the informational visual of the future plans prepared by Italy against possible military operations.
However, developments on the subject have not been shared for a while. Of course, there is a small possibility, as the names of some of the 28 countries where Bayraktar TB2 is exported have not yet been announced. However, for now, it seems that Portugal will hold its hand more quickly. Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that the talks between Baykar and Portugal gained momentum.

However, let’s point out that even if Portugal makes the purchase and orders today, production will take place by the end of 2025 at the earliest.
