Four criminals pile up at night with a bed sheet from a closed psychiatric hospital …
… that could be the first sentence of a joke.
But it’s not – it’s a sad reality in the small town of Weinsberg near Heilbronn.
This is funny at most for people with an absurdly pronounced gallows humor. The escapees – a knife stabber, a serial burglar, a thug. Three men who are considered dangerous are still walking around freely.
That makes me angry.

I would like to know why the window through which the men escaped is not barred. Why is there no wall or fence in front of the house from which the men abseil?
And why four criminals apparently lie unguarded in their rooms at night in the so-called penal system, preparing for the breakout.
Did the guard sleep? Is there no guard at all? Are offenders allowed to do what they want at night?
The management of the clinic could answer these questions. But it doesn’t. Medical confidentiality? There is simply no need to answer questions from the public. And so protects the criminals.
I would prefer better protection FROM the criminals!
