Justice chaos good for Karazor
While his teammates train together on the eight-day US tour and attend NBA and NFL matches, VfB professional Atakan Karazor (26) has to train alone in Stuttgart.
Because of the ongoing criminal proceedings against him, the club and the players had agreed that he would not travel to the USA as a precaution. Karazor was arrested in Ibiza on June 9th. He is accused of raping an 18-year-old Spanish woman. The Stuttgart speaks of consensual sex. He was in custody on the Balearic Islands for six weeks and was released on bail.

But the case has been on hold for months. And according to BILD information, that will be the case for a long time. INothing is moving forward in the process. Justice press spokeswoman Agnes Antic has now confirmed to BILD that the responsible investigating judge is completely overwhelmed. She was recently assigned another judge.
Antic also admits that the process has been delayed and is currently at a standstill. The judicial chaos could even be good for Karazor! Because: Procedural delays are always considered as mitigating circumstances in Spain.
Experts believe it will take at least another year for the case to move forward. So until a decision is made as to whether the evidence is sufficient to open a trial against Karazor. Until then, the VfB professional remains free on bail.
