The company introduced its new model at Nio Day 2023 held in Shaanxi province. Equipped with the best technologies in the electric vehicle market, the model is described as the flagship.

Nio announced that they used their own Shenji autonomous driving chip instead of the Nvidia Drive Orin chip in their new model. The chip produced with 5nm technology is quite assertive in terms of autonomous driving performance.
ET9, which has a 120 kWh battery with a single-cell energy density of 292 Wh/kg, supports 5C fast charging. In this way, drivers will have a range of 255 km with just 5 minutes of charging.
The dimensions of the ET9 have been developed in line with the Chinese market’s preferences for premium models. With a length of 5,324 mm, a width of 2,016 mm and a height of 1,620 mm, the vehicle remains in the shadow of the brand’s previous flagship, ET7, with its 3,250 mm wheelbase.
ET9 offers steering-by-wire technology, an important component for high-level autonomous driving and innovative cockpit designs. Collaborating with German technology giant ZF Group, Nio will further increase the maneuverability of the vehicle with rear-wheel steering by taking advantage of ZF’s technology.
ET9, which is offered for sale with a price tag of 800,000 RMB (approximately 104,400 euros) and is planned to be delivered in the first quarter of 2025, offers the best technologies on the market. We should point out that although the ET9 will be available approximately 12 months later, pre-orders are already open.
