Lastly, Lexus, using a three-letter designation in the legendary LFA model, also underlines how assertive it is with the LBX. The brand, which wants to carry Lexus quality to a new segment, also displays its new identity with the LBX. The model, which has more compact exterior dimensions than any Lexus produced before, draws attention with its muscular and powerful appearance.

One of the most striking design elements of the LBX is the front section, which reinterprets the “spindle grille” design that marked the last 10 years of the brand and brings Lexus into a new era. While Lexus reinterpreted its signature front grille design, it succeeded in creating a design that would make the model seem like a Lexus at first glance.

The seamless and frameless grille integrated into the headlights combines with the spindle body design of the LBX, displaying a dynamic stance. This aerodynamic and powerful design continues at the rear of the vehicle as part of Lexus’ new design language. The license plate is positioned under the bumper, while the LEXUS lettering is prominently positioned on the trunk lid. However, we see that the L-shaped strip lighting group, which has become a signature in new models of Lexus, is included in the latest version of the LBX model.

The LBX, the first model built on Lexus’ GA-B global architecture platform, enters the B SUV segment with a length of 4,190 mm, a width of 1,825 mm, a height of 1,545 mm and a wheelbase of 2,580 mm. Efficiency, driving stability and performance are emphasized in the LBX model, which stands out with an aerodynamic design with its low hood, clean lines, rear roof spoiler and signals.

Under the hood, we encounter a hybrid system that includes a new generation self-charging 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine. The full hybrid system, which has been redesigned and made more compact to increase efficiency, produces maximum power of 136 hp and maximum torque of 185 Nm. Paired with the more compact new E-CVT transmission, the new bipolar nickel-metal hydride battery in the LBX model manages to increase the full electric drive capability while providing more electric motor power during accelerations. The LBX accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 9.2 seconds.

The most striking feature of the LBX is the Lexus E-Four all-wheel drive option with an additional electric motor on the rear axle. This system; When accelerating, cornering and driving on low-grip surfaces, the system automatically transfers power to the rear wheels, ensuring that the vehicle maintains its balance.

In the interior, we see that the Tazuna cockpit concept is also used in the LBX model. This concept keeps up with today’s standards with the new 12.3 inch digital display screen and 9.8 inch infotainment system screen used for the first time in Lexus.

Despite its small size, the LBX is also home to Lexus’ latest driver assistance systems. Lexus Safety System +, which includes comprehensive active safety and driver assistance systems in the LBX, has features that automatically control steering, braking and propulsion to detect accident risks, warn the driver and prevent a collision when necessary. This system includes the Collision Avoidance System working with Junction Turn Assistant, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assistant and Traffic Sign Detection System.
