Berlin Ukraine appears to have built a network of agents and sympathizers within Russia to facilitate acts of sabotage against Russian targets. According to information from the US television broadcaster CNN, Ukraine is said to have provided its allies with Ukrainian-made drones in order to be able to stage attacks.

People familiar with US intelligence information told CNN the pro-Ukrainian agents could be responsible for the drone attack on the Kremlin in early May. According to CNN, it is unclear whether other drone attacks on targets in Moscow and southern Russia in the past few days could also have been carried out in the ranks of this network.

Officials could not provide any reliable information on how Ukraine managed to get the drones across the Russian border. Two of the sources suggested she set up smuggling routes.
