Nemetschek sees the construction crisis as an opportunity

Munich Fewer orders, but sharply rising costs: After years of boom, the construction industry is under pressure. But that’s exactly what the construction software specialist Nemetschek will benefit from, believes its new CEO Yves Padrines. “The pandemic has massively accelerated digital change in the construction industry. The current turbulence will now provide a further boost,” Padrines told the Handelsblatt.

Architects, construction companies and real estate managers can no longer avoid using more software. They have to operate more efficiently, says the manager: “Continue as is” is not an option for customers. Nemetschek offers programs that record and organize digitally in all phases of the planning and construction processes. The Munich-based company is already making sales of more than 800 million euros. And the construction industry is still considered a latecomer to digitization.
