The Mercedes-Benz C111 was an experimental car series in which the German manufacturer presented its new technologies in the 1960s and 1970s. Mercedes-Benz C111 appears again
Alongside the aerodynamic design of the original C111, it housed gull-wing doors and a mid-mounted Wankel engine. The 4-rotor Wankel engine of this iconic car could accelerate the vehicle to 300 km / h. In the next generations, the Wankel engine was replaced by various diesel and gasoline power units.
A total of 16 Mercedes-Benz C111s were produced and exhibited in many international fairs. Unfortunately, this experimental car, which was used to introduce the brand’s newest technologies, never went into mass production.
