WhatsApp has started switching to a new design for Statuses in its latest beta update for Android. The renewed user interface will allow viewing Statuses without opening them. An experience similar to Instagram will be offered.

Redesigned Status updates are also located in a different section on the screen. Statuses will now be located under the Updates tab, above WhatsApp Channels.
