MediaTek, which wants to appeal to more users in the mid-upper segment smartphone market, has completed its studies for its new processor. MediaTek Dimensity 7050, which draws attention with its technical features, was introduced.
The processor, which is described as the successor of the Dimensity 1080 model, is produced by TSMC with 6nm technology. The 8-core processor has 2 2.6GHz ARM Cortex A78 and 6 2.0GHz ARM Cortex A55 cores.
MediaTek, which is strong in the mid-segment smartphone market, announced that they included the Mali G68 MC4 graphic interface in their new model. It should be noted that the MediaTek Mali G68 MC4 graphic interface has similar test results with the Qualcomm Adreno 540.

MediaTek has announced that they will offer 200 Megapixel camera support in the mid-segment smartphone market. Smartphone manufacturers will be able to develop products that can record 30FPS HDR video at 4K resolution.
The new processor will support HEVC, H.264, MPEG-1/2/4 and VP-9 media codecs. It will also be able to play 4K 30FPS videos smoothly.
On the connectivity side, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and Dual 5G technologies are supported. Manufacturers will be able to use LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
