The requirements for making money by producing content on Youtube in 2023 are as follows:

  • Video
    • 500 subscribers
    • Upload 3 valid content within 90 days
    • 3,000 watch hours in the past year
  • shorts
    • 3 million views of Shorts in the last 90 days

Previously, YouTube required 1,000 subscribers, 4,000 hours of views, and/or 10 million Shorts views to monetize. The new requirements drastically reduce these numbers, while giving creators the opportunity to monetize their videos much earlier in the process of creating a channel.

YouTube announced that the minimum requirements for monetization apply to the USA, UK, Canada, Taiwan and South Korea in the first place. YouTube, which wants to add more content to its structure, may expand its new policy to other countries in the future.

By lowering the minimum requirements, YouTube will help creators make money much more easily. So what do you think about making money from YouTube? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
