As a matter of fact, a month after the M2 MacBook Pro, the M2 MacBook Air went on sale. The first thing that users who bought the device did was to compare it with its predecessor, the MacBook Air with the M1 processor. The result was impressive.

The biggest speed difference seen on the M2 MacBook Air and its M1 predecessor was on the GPU side. However, it should be noted that in general, it gives better results in each item. Moreover, there has been no feedback about heating problems so far.
When we look at the Geekbench test results of the M2 model, we see that it scored 1,904 points in single core and 8,838 points in multi-core performance. If we compare this with its predecessor, the MacBook Air with M1, we see that it is 11.61 percent faster in single-core and 19.11 percent faster in multi-core.

In addition, when we look at the Geekbench test results of the newly introduced M2 Pro model, we see that it scored 1,937 in a single core and 8,962 in a multi-core. In other words, the Air model manages to give very close results even though it is fanless.
When we compare this new chip with 8-core Xeon W-3223, one of Intel’s business-oriented processors, we see that this system is 5 thousand dollars more expensive than itself. Because the Intel processor here gets 1000 points in a single core and 8 thousand points in a multi-core. Of course, the 12-core Xeon W-3235 is positioned at the top level by getting 12,500 points in multi-core. But the price is just as high.
Finally, Apple launched the Air model for pre-sale as of July 8 last year. It is stated that if the order is placed now, delivery will be made between July 26 and August 2. It is expected to be in stores after July 15.
