Dusseldorf The cosmetics giant L’Oréal wants to stimulate the beauty industry with two new tech gadgets. The device, called “Hapta”, is designed to help people with limited fine motor skills apply make-up or lipstick. With the “Brow Magic” consumers can style their eyebrows individually and precisely. You will be supported by an app.

L’Oréal presented both products this week at the world’s most important electronics trade fair CES in Las Vegas. “Personalization allows us to serve customers better. Technology enables us to achieve this goal,” said Guive Balooch, global head of the tech incubator for research and innovation at L’Oréal, the Handelsblatt.

The world’s largest cosmetics group is considered a leader when it comes to beauty tech – i.e. the use of technologies in cosmetics. But other consumer goods manufacturers are also increasingly relying on the use of smartphones and artificial intelligence to help consumers put on their make-up or do their hair.
