Apple, which will significantly shift iPhone production to India in the coming years, has also determined a new production base for MacBooks. According to famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple aims to shift MacBook production to Thailand.

Things are complicated at Apple: Employee strike attempt!

The recent economic uncertainty all over the world is putting giant companies in trouble. Apple employees decide to strike in some regions.

Apple is in the process of gradually transitioning its manufacturing from a China-centric approach to one that uses multiple headquarters. It is estimated that the main production site for the MacBook product category outside of China will be Thailand. Currently, Apple does most of the MacBook production in China. However, the company has been working on moving some of its production to Vietnam lately.

Kuo stated that a significant amount of Apple’s MacBook production will go to Thailand in a period of 3 to 5 years. Thus, the technology giant aims to be affected by the political tensions that may occur between the USA and China at a minimum level, while aiming to be protected from the production problems that occur during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the information received, Apple aims to reduce production in China as much as possible in the long run. While the company aims to offer models made in China only in the local market, it plans to sell iPhone and MacBook models from other production centers in the global market.

Estimates reveal that Apple’s withdrawal from China is not as easy as it seems. It is estimated that it may take 8 years for Apple to move only 10 percent of its production in China to other countries. Considering that 70 percent of Apple’s total production is made in China, suppliers in China will also be badly affected by this situation.

Let’s see how Apple’s China strategy will progress from now on. So what do you think about Apple moving the production of MacBook and iPhone models out of China? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
