Ledger, one of the most important cryptocurrency wallet manufacturers in the world, made statements on various subjects at the Ledger Op3n conference, which it organizes every two years in Paris.
The most striking of these statements was undoubtedly Ledger’s partnerships with the world-famous cryptocurrency exchanges FTX and Coinbase.
Thanks to Ledger’s partnership with the FTX exchange, Ledger wallet holders will have access to the liquidity of the FTX exchange and other trading options, including leveraged transactions.
Sam Bankman, CEO of FTX, said about the Fried Ledger partnership:
“With this partnership, users will be able to quickly transact cryptocurrencies without compromising their security.”
Coinbase, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, will also begin to support the Ledger cryptocurrency wallet.
Coinbase Ledger integration will take place gradually in 2022. In the first stage, Ledger wallets will be connected with the browser version of the Coinbase Wallet. In the next phase, the Coinbase mobile application will also start to support Ledger crypto wallets.
Crypto Debit Card from Ledger!
Another important statement announced by Ledger was the release of the new crypto debit card. “We need to start focusing on spending,” said Iqbal Gandham, Ledger’s VP of payments, announcing the Visa-supported card.
Gandham continued his words as follows, stating that the card will turn into a cryptocurrency at the point of sale:
“Cardholders will also be able to request interest-free loans for 30 days, depending on their cryptocurrencies. In addition, starting next year, cardholders will be able to send their salaries to these card accounts as well as automatically converting them into cryptocurrencies.”
Gandham added that this card, called the “Crypto Life” card, also supports a number of cryptocurrencies.
