Good news for entrepreneurs with support of up to 2 million TL!

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced the restructuring of KOSGEB support programs and the Entrepreneurship Support Program, which offers great opportunities to entrepreneurs. Within the scope of this program, up to 2 million TL financial support will be provided to enterprises operating in sectors that are in line with our country’s strategic goals and having the potential to create added value and qualified employment.

The aim of the program is to reveal the entrepreneurial potential hidden all over Anatolia and to facilitate the journey from idea to product and from product to market. In particular, the entrepreneurial activities of young people, women, disabled people, veterans and relatives of martyrs will be supported, and the upper limit of support for entrepreneurs belonging to these groups will be applied incrementally.

Minister Kacır emphasized that SMEs are the backbone of the Turkish economy and said, “Our SMEs are our companions with whom we walk on our journey to raise our country above the level of contemporary civilizations.”

Turkish Accelerator and Radiation Laboratory (TARLA) Electron Accelerator, developed with local and national resources, has been put into operation!

Stating that KOSGEB has provided 180 billion liras of support to 1.3 million SMEs since 2002, Minister Kacır drew attention to the importance of improving the competitiveness and innovation competencies of SMEs. In this context, he announced that the “Turkey Green Industry Project” was launched in cooperation with the World Bank for green transformation projects and that SMEs were supported in their efforts to reduce their carbon footprints and increase resource efficiency.

In addition, the “Post-Earthquake Economic Revitalization Project” was implemented jointly with the World Bank and the Japan International Cooperation Agency to heal the wounds of SMEs following the earthquake disasters last year. Within the scope of this project, 16.8 billion liras of resources have been transferred to more than 52 thousand businesses to date.

Minister Kacır stated that KOSGEB supports SMEs in a wide range of areas, from entrepreneurship to capacity development, from global competition to post-disaster support programs, and that this support will be further strengthened with the new “Entrepreneurship Support Program”.
