Jaguar Land Rover is committed to reducing scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions from its own operations, including vehicle production and logistics, by 46 percent by 2030.
Jaguar Land Rover announced that it will reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions from the use of purchased goods, services and products by 54 percent per vehicle sold by Fiscal Year 2030, based on Fiscal Year 2020.

About the science-based goals initiative (SBTi)
SBTi is a joint venture between the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
The initiative aims to encourage companies to set science-based emission reduction targets to meet the targets of the Paris Agreement and to take an active role in the fight against climate change. In the science-based goal setting process, companies prepare a letter describing their goals and share it with the Science-Based Goals Initiative (SBTi).
After the application, an emission reduction plan in accordance with the criteria of the Science-Based Targets Initiative must be created in order for the determined focus to be verified by the official authorities. In another step, companies are expected to announce their targets, inform their stakeholders and disclose their company-wide emissions.
