Is an Assassin’s Creed Origins sequel coming?

It has been 7 years since Assassin’s Creed Origins was released, and it is possible to say that it is a game that remains fond of the fans of the series. Players liked the main characters of the game, Aya and Bayek, so much that they have been waiting for the sequel stories of these characters from Ubisoft for years. The actors playing these two characters seem to agree, too.

Abubakar Salim and Alix Wilton Regan, who play the leading roles in Assassin’s Creed Origins, stated that they wanted a sequel that would continue the story of Aya and Bayek.

Salim humorously noted that he would have to “open a studio himself” to make an Assassin’s Creed Origins sequel. Regan also stated that Aya and Bayek’s story is “unfinished.”

Assassin’s Creed Origins follows Aya and Bayek as they seek revenge for the murder of their son. Both characters’ memories are revived by Layla Hassan using a modified Animus device. Bayek is the protagonist of Origins, while Aya plays a supporting role.

One of the reasons why Regan sees Aya’s story as “unfinished” is described in a Bloomberg news article published three years after the game’s release. The news explains that Aya actually has a much larger role in the game and that Bayek is planned to be killed in the middle of the game.

However, this scenario was canceled by a Ubisoft executive who argued that the leading character of the series should be a male character.

Mobile gamers are upset! New Assassin’s Creed game delayed

It has been claimed that the release date for Ubisoft’s highly anticipated mobile game Assassin’s Creed Jade has been postponed.

Bayek and Aya’s stories were continued in the DLC released for Origins. While Hidden Ones told the story of the couple going to Sinai and repelling the Roman invasion of the region, The Curse of the Pharaohs told the story of Bayek and his attempt to prevent the reincarnation of the gods of Egypt by trying to find the Shards of the Oracles. These DLCs allowed players to delve deeper into Aya and Bayek’s story.

Salim and Regan’s requests have created great excitement among fans, and it is expected that pressure will be put on Ubisoft to make the sequel possible.
