Munich Despite the numerous global challenges, Siemens is currently growing faster than many of its competitors. But investors complain that the share price is not keeping pace with developments. They demand higher dividends and an even clearer digital strategy from CEO Roland Busch.

Busch is the right man for Siemens, says Vera Diehl, fund manager at Union Investment, the Handelsblatt. “But it’s not enough just to deliver good numbers. Something else has to come.” Siemens must focus even more on value for shareholders – for example through larger share buyback programs.

Ingo Speich, Head of Sustainability and Corporate Governance at Deka Investment, also praises the operational development under Busch. However, he did not succeed in catching up on the valuation discounts to the competitors. “That will be the benchmark for his first term as CEO.”
