Intel Core i5-13600K surpasses M1 Max!

Intel aims to continue its rise in the 12th generation Alder Lake family with the 13th generation Raptor Lake series. As a matter of fact, the Core i5-13600K performance test results that emerged today managed to surpass their competitors on the AMD and Apple side.

In the past days, the performance test of the i9-13900K from the Intel Raptor Lake family and the i9-12900K and i9-12900KF from the Alder Lake series has emerged. Here, it was seen that the 13th generation chips exhibited a performance increase of up to 40 percent over their predecessors.

Today, the Geekbench 5 test result of the Intel Core i5-13600K processor has emerged. Accordingly, the chip, which is the top model of the middle class on the Intel front, is far ahead of the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and Apple M1 Max processors.

The new Intel Raptor Lake series has entered performance tests. Here it is compared to its predecessor, Alder Lake chips.

When we look at the shared image, we see that the processor with 14 cores and 20 threads got 2012 points in the single core test. On the multi-core side, it gets 16 thousand 54 points. Apple’s 10-core M1 Max processor scored 1771 in a single-core and 12,539 in a multi-core in this test.

Of course, there are those who say that Intel’s shared test result is obtained by overclocking. Because the base frequency of the chip is 3.50 GHz, and the maximum is 5100 Mhz. However, as a result of the test claimed to be without overclocking, we see a base frequency of 3.49 GHz and a maximum frequency of 5087 MHz. This chip, on the other hand, scores 1980 in a single core and 14,425 in a multi-core. So in any case it outperforms the M1 Max.

AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, on the other hand, scored 1598 in single core and 15,468 in multi-core in the first test results. However, when we look at the current tests, we see that it scores between 1710 and 1725 in a single core and between 15,676 and 17,69 in a multi-core. But even under the best results they lag behind Intel’s new mid-range chip.
