WhatsApp is getting another interface update

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, rolled out message reactions widely for Android, iOS and web users about two years ago. Since then, the feature has received several updates and has become available within chats, channels, communities, and even status updates. Now the WhatsApp reaction interface is changing.

With WhatsApp beta 2.24.10.7, the app added an easy way to react to media from the media viewer screen. Now with the latest beta version, WhatsApp is improving the feature even further.

With WhatsApp beta 2.24.11.18, WhatsApp has slightly changed the reaction interface on the media viewer screen. In beta 2.24.10.7, the media viewer screen offered an expanded Reply bar at the bottom, and an icon for reactions was located on the right.

Clicking the reply button opens your keyboard and sends in-content replies, while clicking the emoji icon brings up your six most-used emojis. When you select an emoji reaction, it appears to the left of the reaction icon.

The revamped experience is still in beta, so it’s unclear when it will be widely available.

WhatsApp design continues to become more colorful. Finally, the application will allow you to change the color of the chat bubbles.

In addition to making message reactions easier, WhatsApp also wants to simplify profile pictures. As part of beta version 2.24.11.17, WhatsApp was found to be working on a feature that would allow users to create new profile pictures using artificial intelligence.

The tool, which is not currently widely available, will make it easier for those who want to maintain privacy by not uploading personal photos and will still have the option to use images that reflect their personality and choices.
