The Ritter Sport boss wants to donate the profits from the Russian business.

Dusseldorf, Berlin The managing director of the chocolate manufacturer Ritter Sport, Andreas Ronken, has been the focus of social media since Russia attacked Ukraine. The reason: Although Ritter Sport stopped new projects and advertising in Russia, it continued to deliver chocolate there.

Russia is the second most important market for the family company founded in 1912. In the Handelsblatt interview, the 55-year-old explains the motives, what delivery stops have to do with sustainability and that competing products can still be found in Russian shops.
