Huawei opened a modern Health Laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art testing equipment in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. In order to meet the growing demand in the health and fitness market, Huawei aims to conduct in-depth research in health monitoring algorithms through wearable technologies. Since 2016, Huawei has been continuing its work in this field by establishing three different health laboratories around the world. A health survey conducted this year found that the vast majority of respondents desired to improve their healthy lifestyle, and only half were satisfied with their physical fitness levels. Huawei continues to invest in sports and health research and development to better meet increasing consumer demand around the world.
The laboratory creates realistic sports environments and scenarios, covering more than 20 sports disciplines, monitoring more than 200 physiological and biomechanical indicators. Testing areas such as a countercurrent pool, ski simulator and multi-function treadmill allow athletes and general users to measure their performance using Huawei’s latest wearable devices.
Huawei Watch GT 4, Huawei’s latest wearable device, is used in the laboratory’s daily research tests. This smartwatch will offer users the ability to measure running ability, record and analyze training data, provide personalized training recommendations and plans, while also helping individuals maintain a scientific fitness and healthy lifestyle.
