Cologne Germany is and remains the most popular travel destination for Germans. In a survey by the Foundation for Future Questions, holiday destinations from the coast to the Alps were far ahead of the classics in other European countries when planning for 2022.
The crux: Popular holiday regions such as Sylt, Timmendorfer Strand and Chiemsee have become almost unaffordable for those interested in owning their own property at the holiday destination.
But in lesser-known locations in Germany and other European countries, you can not only have a nice holiday, but the investments could also pay off in the form of capital gains in the coming years.
