Business representatives in Saxony have complained to the minister about the negative aspects of investments in the modernization of industry.

Berlin Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck meets a good two dozen representatives of the regional economy at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) in Dresden. Managing directors of small and medium-sized companies from various sectors, and trade unionists are also present. People like Andre Twardygrosz, the deputy chief operating officer of Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW).

Twardygrosz has already started criticizing the Green politician before the minister is there. His employer EFW in Dresden recently invested many millions without using state aid, he reports. On the other hand, the state throws billions at companies like Intel or Infineon. That’s not fair.

EFW converts passenger planes to freighters at the end of their useful lives, giving them a few extra years of service. Twardygrosz says that this saves resources and is therefore definitely worthy of funding.
