According to a statement made last February, Apple Store technical services and Apple’s authorized service providers are now Access to the TrueDepth camera section. In this way, instead of replacing the entire screen, only the module with the front camera and sensors will be replaced.
According to the previously announced plan, this repair process would take place for the iPhone XS and later models. In other words, since the iPhone X was excluded from this list, users whose Face ID was damaged would still have to replace the entire screen.
According to the information revealed today, Apple will also start a repair process for the iPhone X model. Special parts will be supplied for this device, which has a different sensor structure than other models in the series.
The most important aspect of this situation for users, of course, seems to be that the repair costs will decrease greatly. Because now, only the Face ID module will be replaced instead of the screen replacement, which costs up to 5 thousand TL. However, for now, there is no clarity on what the price of this piece will be.
