Ivy Love Getty (26), great-granddaughter of oil tycoon J.Paul Getty († 83) and granddaughter of artist Ann Getty († 79), married her lover, tech entrepreneur and photographer Toby Alexander Engel (27) at the weekend. Now the billionaire heiress opens the photo album of the multi-day luxury wedding and this celebration was in one word: pompous!
For Ivy’s big day, John Galliano (60), the creative head of the “Maison Margiela” label, designed the finest haute couture. Galliano even made an exception for the model. “I don’t usually design the dresses for the bridesmaids … But I was so enchanted by Ivy and the stories of these women that I made an exception,” says Galliano in Vogue.
The creations: out of this world! The billionaire heiress married in a dream made of tulle, which was decorated with fragments that looked like broken mirrors.

The festivities were spread over four days, culminating on Saturday when Ivy and Toby tied the knot in San Francisco City Hall. The bride and groom were married by Nancy Pelosi (81), the spokeswoman for the House of Representatives. Ivy’s maid of honor was a true Netflix star, Anya Taylor-Joy (25, “The Queen’s Gambit”). The two women are said to have known each other for six years, so Anya met Ivy on her first day in Los Angeles – the friendship was sealed!

The motto of the wedding was given by the bride’s family themselves: The “Getty Villa” and Ivy’s grandmother, philanthropist Ann Getty, through whose veins the tendency to extravagance and the love of art flowed. She also set up the sumptuous “Getty Villa” in San Francisco, where Ivy and Toby invited their guests to the soiree after the wedding on Saturday. 450 guests celebrated their love with Ivy and Toby for four days, on the guest list were stars like Justin (27) and Hailey Bieber (24), or US Vice President Kamala Harris (57). At the pre-party on Friday, which was a tribute to the sixties, the British star DJ and producer Mark Ronson (46) played and the soul and funk band Earth, Wind and Fire performed live.
