Berlin The federal government wants to support Ukraine’s artillery equipment by supplying radar devices and high-performance cameras. According to information from the Handelsblatt, she asked the industry for offers for a substantial number of “Spexer” and “Cobra” radars, passive radars and “Nightowl” cameras. It’s about a volume of 50 million euros.

The “Spexer” radar is primarily used to ward off drone attacks, “Cobra” for locating enemy artillery. Both systems are produced by the German manufacturer Hensoldt, as are the “Nightowl” cameras, which were developed for observation at extremely long distances. The company declined to comment.
