Gazprom invokes force majeure in the event of delivery failures – Uniper rejects this

Dusseldorf The Russian gas company Gazprom declared force majeure to several major European customers on Monday. The Düsseldorf energy group Uniper confirmed this to the Handelsblatt.

“The company has retrospectively asserted force majeure for past and current shortfalls in gas deliveries,” a company spokesman said. However, this requirement is not considered justified. Uniper has therefore already formally rejected the claim.
