FTX CEO: “I Support Billionaires Tax!”

While the USA was talking about the “billionaires tax” targeting the richest people in the country, an interesting statement came from Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of crypto money exchange FTX.

Sam Bankman-Fried, one of the US billionaires, said in a recent interview with CNN that he supports “the idea that billionaires should be taxed at a higher rate” and that he finds it “reasonable” to tax more people like himself.

Expressing that it is fair for the richest people to pay high taxes, the young CEO of FTX announced that he plans to donate almost everything he has earned in his life to charities.

Having the distinction of being the richest billionaire under the age of 30, Fried stated that among the projects he was interested in after promising to donate, fighting poverty, pandemic and global warming.

“It’s up to us to give back, not just for our own good, but for our reputation. It is important to give back to help the world.”

Elon Musk’s Billionaires Tax Survey!

While the tax debate on billionaires continues, Tesla CEO Elon Musk also targeted the billionaires tax on Twitter, “I am not getting a cash salary or bonus from anywhere. I only have stock, so the only way for me to personally pay taxes is to sell stocks,” she said in a survey.

After the majority of respondents voted yes to Musk selling their shares, Musk sold some of his Tesla shares.

If the “billionaires tax” proposal, which is still in the drafting stage and will affect approximately 700 billionaires, is accepted, Elon Musk, one of the richest people in the world, will also face massive taxation.
