Dusseldorf A good working atmosphere is crucial. Regardless of whether the teams work together on site in the office or virtually, as in times of Corona. If the mood in the group of colleagues changes, there is a risk that valuable employees will leave.

This is also shown by the report “The Meaning of Work 2020” by the job platform Indeed and the market research institute YouGov: Of around 2042 employees in Germany, 59 percent of those surveyed said that the working atmosphere is more important to them than the salary (54 percent).

There are many reasons for frustration in the company: restructuring and layoffs, work overload, lack of appreciation, hurt or arguments can all be the trigger.

“Paying attention to the atmosphere in the company, I would count among the top three management tasks,” says career coach Henryk Lüderitz from Düsseldorf. But assessing the working atmosphere can sometimes be difficult for bosses. There are some signs that indicate a bad mood in the workplace.
