Another important change that draws attention in the draft is related to the vehicles used by couriers. Motorcycles will be required to be no older than 10 years old, and cars will be required to be no older than 20 years old. This regulation aims to keep the safety and environmental impact of courier vehicles under control.

In addition, according to an article added to the draft in order to increase the safety of couriers, couriers will have to wear reflective vests and the word “courier” will be clearly visible on these vests. In this way, couriers will be more easily noticed in traffic and their security will be increased.

The decision taken by the Ministry of Commerce was published in the Official Gazette today. The second-hand vehicle buying-selling regulation has been extended for another 6 months.

Another important point of the regulation is that courier companies are obliged to provide protective equipment to the couriers they employ. In this context, companies with authorization certificates will have to provide the necessary equipment to their couriers.

With the entry into force of this draft prepared by the Ministry of Transport, courier services will have a safer and more organized structure, and at the same time, the use of environmentally friendly vehicles will be encouraged.
