According to the information conveyed Embracer Group; Asmodee Group will be split into three separate organizations, Coffee Stain & Friends and Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends. There will also be stock listings for each of them. So what kind of games will these companies work on?

7 Days to Die is leaving early access. The game, which has been in early access on Steam since 2013, will be fully released in June.

The working areas of the companies will be as follows;

  • Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends: AAA will develop games. It will own the rights to series such as Dead Island, Killing Floor, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Tomb Raider and The Lord of the Rings.
  • Asmodee Group: Will focus on board games. It currently includes board games such as Ticket to Ride, 7 Wonders, Azul, CATAN, Dobble and Exploding Kittens. It also develops board games for popular series such as The Lord of the Rings, Marvel, Game of Thrones and Star Wars.
  • Coffee Stain & Friends: It will focus on indie and free-to-play games. There will be games such as Deep Rock Galactic, Goat Simulator, Satisfactory, Wreckfest, Teardown and Valheim under the company’s roof.

Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors stated that the main purpose of this step is to allow each team to demonstrate its full potential. Additionally, Wingefors expressed his intention to remain a shareholder in all three new companies.
